  • 1729 is the smallest number that can be expressed as the sum of two cubes in two different ways.

1729 = 1728 + 1 = 123 + 13

1729 = 1000 + 729 = 103 + 93

  • 1 and 8 are the only two single-digit cube numbers.
  • The cubes of the numbers ending in 1, 4, 5, 6 or 9 end with the same digits. For example:

  • The cubes of odd numbers are odd. And the cubes of even numbers are even.
